Ma... chi è Vullo?... un aperitivo?...

Yes, my name is Vullo.
No, it's not a pseudo, it's really my last name! My first name is Mathieu... Mateo or Mat. It's up to you!
I was born in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime, France) in 1971 and I have been drawing
since the early and tender years of grammar school... So many many years ago!...
Since childhood, my imagination has been full of little figures, parking lots full of cars and scooters,
herds of animals as well as whimsical things that have ended up on paper... or on wooden school desks...

In the early 90's, when I was "wracking my brain" for logos at an advertising agency, I met a mouse.
A computer mouse. We immediatly became partners and have not parted ever since.
Since then, my pencils only work part-time and my consumption of paper has pretty much come to an end.
It makes me feel much less responsible for deforestation!

Since 2005, I have launched my career as an independent artist working not only on exhibitions
but also illustrating for magazines, companies, associations and individuals.

My universe ...? Instead of telling you about it, I recommend you discover it for yourself in galleries!

The year 2006 marked a new step in my work with "Vacances rochelaises", a collection of postcards
especially created for all the tourists who come to the famous port of La Rochelle (my city),
in the west of France on the Atlantic coast.
I hope I will meet you there, at my stall, on the Cours des Dames in La Rochelle, for many summers to come.

In 2007: www.mateovullo.com was put online.

This site has been created to make my artwork available all year long, wherever you are.
Not only in La Rochelle during the summer...
Anyway, it will also inform you about the most recent news and the lastest creations from Mondo Vullo!
